Return policy

Every item on Basin Bargains is different, so every listing carries its own return policy. You will find it in the Returns box on the product page before you buy. That box is the policy for that item. This page explains each one and how a return works.

The policies

One of these applies to each item. Most items carry the 7-Day Guarantee unless the listing says otherwise.

7-Day Guarantee: Returns are accepted within 7 days if the item is materially different from its description or a claimed function does not work.
7-Day Test Window: We are unable to test some items. You get 7 days to make sure it works or your money back.
As-Is: Untested: The item has not been tested. Test it within 7 days. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.
As-Is: Parts Only: Sold as-is for parts, repair, or other use. No returns.
As-Is: Needs Repair: The item needs repair or service and is sold as-is. No returns.
As-Is: Discounted: Heavily discounted based on its condition or other disclosed factors. Sold as-is. No returns.
No Returns: Sold as-is. No returns.

A listing may adjust this wording for its particular item. When it does, the wording on the listing is what applies.

The 7 days

Where a policy gives you 7 days, the clock starts the moment you pick the item up, not when you pay. Your order page shows the exact time the window closes. Test it promptly and send your request within that window.

How to start a return

Look up your order and choose Request a refund. Pick the item, tell us what is wrong, and send it. You get a copy by email and we reply within one business day. Photos or a short video of the problem help us sort it out quickly. If the return is accepted, you bring the item back to us in Ephrata, WA.

Items must come back complete and in the condition they left in, with any parts, accessories and packaging that were included.

Refunds

Accepted returns are refunded to the card you paid with, through Stripe, once we have the item back. Banks usually post the refund within 5 to 10 business days. If you paid a deposit and the balance at pickup, both are refunded.

What is not covered

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted unless the item’s policy says so. Issues that were disclosed in the listing, such as a scuff in the photos or a note that a part is missing, are not grounds for a return. Items marked as-is are sold in the condition described and, apart from the exceptions written into their policy, are not returnable.

Cancelling before pickup

Cancelling an order is different from returning an item. You can cancel from your order page any time before pickup. Deposits are non-refundable. If you paid in full, we refund the amount paid minus a cancellation and restocking fee equal to what the deposit would have been (20% of the price, at least $5.00).
